Register now for Tee Ball, Little League

The Greene County Youth Athletic Association (GCYAA) reminds the parents that registration for the 2022 T-Ball is now open and will close on April 15.

Registration can be completed online at www.gcyaa.org. Parents will create a profile and enter their information only once; it will be saved for future registrations.

Tee Ball (ages 4-6) – The Tee Ball division is for players who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. The focus is on instruction rather than competition. Rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the need for teaching. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork. Coaches are permitted on the field to teach while the game is in progress. Players hit a ball off a batting tee stand. Players have the opportunity to try all positions. Fee $30 per player

May 31 – Picture Day. June 7 – first practice/game.

Little League (Grades 1-6) Registrations for Little League will be closed on March 23. Online registration is available at www.gcyaa.org.

The different age ranges are: Minor (first and second grade), American (third and fourth grade), and Major (fifth and sixth grade). Registration fees are $55 per player with a $10 discount for each additional ball player. A late fee of $10 will be applied to registrations taken after March 10.

There will be a hard cut off for registrations after March 16 in order to allow time to pick teams. April 1 will be the first day of practice with opening ceremonies and games beginning in May. Spring is near!

Persons who want more information on any of these teams can visit www.gcyaa.org or email gcyaa1@gmail.com.
